Roger holds an Associate’s Degree, and has served as a past DRSD Board Chair. He is also a former board member of the South Dakota Council on Developmental Disabilities and the South Dakota Advisory Panel on Children with Disabilities.

Roger joined DRSD's Board in 2014. He enjoys being a part of DRSD because he likes the opportunity to "learn from others, teach others, and be a better advocate for [his] son and others with disabilities."

Roger is married and has three adult children. He also has a cat named Zeus.  In his free time, Roger enjoys riding his bicycle, listening to music, walking, spending time at Lake Poinsett, and camping. Something interesting about Roger is that he volunteered at a camp called Royal Family Kids Camp (a camp for children in foster care) for 8 years.
